Future Present: Slowdown
In this user group session, we will spend our entire time working with Future Present, a Liberating Structure based on the work of Joanna Macy. We will take a dive into the history of the method and work with it to explore possibles futures.
In Future~Present, participants imagine looking backwards on the present from 15-30 years in the future to see how they achieved their goals. This "backcasting" rather than forecasting helps us identify opportunities to shape the future by building on small, early wins in the present.
