Definitely Not an Improv Taster

Space is limited! RSVP: https://www.meetup.com/Central-TX-Liberating-Structures-User-Group/events/248972104/

The connections between improv and Liberating Structures go wayyyy back--and we have long wanted to host an improv taster session for LS users. (Not that we'd do that.) Well, here we are! (No, not really. Definitely not.) Austin improv mainstay and all-around fabulous person Lee Eddy will lead us through this free, highly experimental (not-at-all-improv) session designed for improv-phobic facilitators and Liberating Structures lovers.

**Please note that this is offered at no cost, but space is limited, so we ask that you not RSVP unless you know you will attend.**

From 9-11 am, Lee will guide us through this highly interactive (definitely not) improv intro. After the session, we will indulge in some tasty snacks and debrief together about how improv may inform our own LS practice and how we want to play with improv in the future. Ends at 11:30 am.

About Lee
LEE EDDY has over 25 years of live performance and improv comedy experience, working in both Austin and NYC. Accoladed for her stage performances, she also works regularly in film (check out MUSTANG ISLAND or I DON'T FEEL AT HOME IN THE WORLD ANYMORE on Netflix), and has an extensive background in non-profit arts and community media management.

In Austin, she cut her improv gums in 2000 at The Velveeta Room and is considered a fixture in the Austin improv community. She performs regularly with her award-winning improv group, The Knuckleball Now, and has appeared onstage at The Hideout, ColdTowne Theater, and The Institution. After moving to NYC in 2007, she trained with The People's Improv Theater and was selected to be a PIT house team member, performing weekly as part of the group Whiskey Rebellion. She also joined the nationally acclaimed Story Pirates and regularly performed with them until returning to Austin in 2014.

A graduate of St Ed's, Lee has trained in the Suzuki and Viewpoints technique, the Meisner acting method, and has professionally taught acting and improv since 2005. When working with groups, Lee strives to make the learning environment safe, open, and comfortable, providing participants the opportunity to make big choices and allow them the freedom to fail successfully.
